Please visit our Funding page for further information on different ways women can seek help paying for their abortion.

Women who are covered on Minnesota Medical Assistance do not need to pay a fee - we will bill MA for you.

Please have your MN MA Recipient ID, or social security number when you call us so that we can verify your coverage.

Women who are covered on North Dakota Medicaid can have the following services paid for by Medicaid:

  • Depo-Provera shot ($50)
  • IUD - either ParaGard or Mirena ($700-$850)
  • Nexplanon ($750)
  • Chlamydia/Gonorrhea test ($5)

Please have your ND Medicaid ID # when you call us so that we can verify your coverage.

If you have private insurance coverage, please bring your insurance card with you.  You need to pay your fee in cash or credit card.  We will bill your insurance for you, and if a payment is made, you will receive a refund.

Appointment Information:

You can expect to be at our clinic for about 4 to 5 hours. When you are here, you can expect to do the following:

  • Fill out forms (medical history, ultrasound consent, informed consent, etc)
  • Have an ultrasound
  • Have blood drawn from your arm
  • Meet with a patient advocate to have your questions answered
  • Hear about how the abortion is performed and risks involved
  • Have the surgical abortion or swallow the Mifeprex pill
  • Be in our recovery room for about 15-30 minutes, depending on how you are feeling

Everyone entering the facility must have a photo ID (like a license). Each patient may bring one friend to the clinic with them.  If you bring someone with you, they will wait in the waiting room - they will not be with you during the abortion.  One of our supportive OR staff will be with you during the abortion.

To schedule an appointment, call us between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Our toll-free # is 1-888-928-9009.
  • Our local # is 701-298-9999.
  • The woman needing the abortion needs to make the appointment herself.  It takes about 10 minutes to make the appointment.
  • We can usually see you within about a week.

Special Requirements of the North Dakota Law

1. 24-Hour Consent: ND law requires that each patient be told information regarding the name of the doctor performing the abortion, possible risks and complications, how far along she will be, and that Medical Assistance and child support may be available to her if she were to continue the pregnancy.  She is also given state printed informational booklets.  This information is read to the patient when she makes her appointment.

2. Parental Consent/Judicial Bypass: An unmarried minor under the age of 18 must do one of the following:

(a) She must have her legal parents notified by us, by certified mail, of her appointment  before her abortion. We must also obtain the consent of her custodial parent(s) OR

(b) She may get a judicial bypass from a judge permitting her to have the abortion without her parents knowing and/or consenting. The staff at our clinic is able to assist minors with this procedure which is usually not a difficult process.
